Evidence: "We miss at College under these slight afflications what De Quincey calls 'female ministrations' [...] My aquaintance with De Quincey grows in the night seasons, & there are certain Essays of his wh I shall always connect with the sound of Oxford churches answering to each other the solemn strokes of 2 or 3." The source for the phrase 'female ministrations' is incorrectly identified in a footnote as the earlier autobiographical work by the same author, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater (1821), but the phrase does not appear until the later-published Autobiographic Sketches (1853). Given the language of "new volume," in Letters 1:186 (97), this was most likely the 1856 edition.
